Distinguished Achievement Award in Energy and Sustainability Policy and Renewable Energy and Sustainability Systems
As a lifelong resident of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Kate Robeson-Grubb loves the natural sciences and deeply appreciates Pennsylvania’s natural beauty and abundant resources. These factors became guiding principles throughout her academic and professional careers.
In 2011, Robeson-Grubb began working as a research assistant for J. Reckner Associates, a consumer insights firm based in Chalfont, Pennsylvania. She spent several years building connections and cultivating a diverse skillset due to the interdisciplinary nature of the industry, but she always felt a pull towards sustainable development. In 2019, Robeson-Grubb began taking courses part-time through Penn State World Campus as a non-degree student, where she would later enroll in the Energy and Sustainability Policy program and pursue a bachelor of science.
Following her graduation in December 2022, Robeson-Grubb was hired by the Solebury Township Municipal Government as their sustainability specialist and Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) administrator to implement the sustainability initiatives of their energy transition plan. She works closely with the Solebury Township Board of Supervisors, the EAC, the Sustainability Subcommittee, and several excellent ESP students to coordinate and execute projects within the community that will forward their Ready For 100 goals, promote public education and engagement, and cultivate a culture of sustainability within the administrative body.
